Program educational objectives (PEO) are specific goals consistent with the mission and vision of the university, are responsive to the expressed interest of program stakeholders, and describe the expected achievements of graduates in their career and professional life a few years after graduation.
PEO1 To produce a building construction technologist that performs related works to building technology, building services technology and project management. PEO2 To produce technopreneurs in building construction related technology. PEO3 To produce relevant, respected and referred professionals in building construction technology -
Program Learning Outcomes (PLO) are narrower statements that describe what students are expected to know and be able to do by the time of graduation. These relate to the skills, knowledge, and behaviors that students acquire in their matriculation through the program.
PLO PO STATEMENT PLO1 – Knowledge (Cognitive Domain) Apply the knowledge of technology fundamental to broadly-defined procedures, processes, systems and methodologies in the field of study. PLO2 - Practical Skills and High Technology (Psychomotor Domain) Propose and employ current tools and techniques to resolve broadly-defined problems PLO3 – Analytical, Critical Thinking and Scientific Approach (Cognitive Domain) Demonstrate deep investigative and significant thinking abilities to solve broadly defined problems in the field of study. PLO4 - Communication Skills (Affective Domain) Communicate effectively and flexibly in oral and written language for social, academic and professional purposes PLO5 – Social Responsibility in Society and Technologist Community (Affective Domain) Illustrate the understanding of corresponding issues related to the society and the subsequent responsibilities to the broadly-defined technology practices PLO6 - Lifelong Learning and Information Management (Affective Domain) Acknowledge the requirement of professional establishment and to employ independent continuing learning in specialist technology.
