SULAM: INNOVATION PROJECT FOR DECORATIVE FLOWER POT RACK IMPLEMENTATION

The SULAM program titled "INNOVATION PROJECT FOR DECORATIVE FLOWER POT RACK IMPLEMENTATION" was organized by final-year FKTA students at Darul Ulum Mosque, Wang Ulu, Kangar, Perlis. This program took place on Saturday, June 15, 2024, and involved 4 students from Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) and 2 mosque members.

The program activities included a demonstration on how to make decorative flower pot racks using PVC pipes. The main objective of organizing this program was to beautify and brighten up the mosque area as well as to provide ideas for the mosque to improve the surroundings. The flower pot racks made from PVC pipes are easy to modify, either by increasing the number of racks or by diversifying their designs.

The implementation of making flower pot racks using PVC pipes involved collaboration between UniMAP students and mosque members to learn how to make these racks. This activity also strengthened the relationship between UniMAP students and the local community at Darul Ulum Mosque.

In addition, this project aimed to expose UniMAP students to community service activities, enhance their communication skills, and foster a spirit of volunteerism and a high sense of concern for the local community.

Organizer: Final-year FKTA students in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Perlis.
