UniMAP Participates in APAIE 2026 in Hong Kong
Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) proudly participated in the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) 2026, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 23–27 February 2026 Recognised as the largest higher education conference in the Asia-Pacific region, APAIE 2026 brought together more than 2,500 delegates from 65 countries worldwide.
UniMAP was represented by Che Zulzikrami Azner Abidin, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering & Technology (FKTA), together with representatives from the Centre for International Engagement (CIE). Throughout the conference, the UniMAP delegation engaged in a series of strategic meetings with leading universities and institutions from Australia, Europe, Japan, South Korea, Türkiye, and other regions.
These engagement sessions focused on strengthening global networks, exploring academic collaborations, and expanding opportunities for student and staff mobility. Several Letters of Intent (LoIs) were also exchanged as preliminary steps towards future collaborations involving joint research initiatives, academic exchange programmes, and other strategic partnerships.
FKTA remains committed to expanding its international collaborations in support of academic excellence, innovation, and global engagement. Participation in APAIE 2026 reflects UniMAP’s continuous efforts to strengthen its international presence and foster meaningful partnerships that benefit students, staff, and the broader academic community.
As UniMAP continues its journey towards greater internationalisation, such engagements play a vital role in creating new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and global impact.
