This Research Laboratory is the result of the Memorandum of Understanding Signed between UniMAP and E-Idaman Sdn. Bhd., and the Research Sponsorship Agreement or known as the Sponsored Research Agreement (SRA) between TUSB and E-Idaman Sdn. Bhd. on November 20, 2019.

The researchers involved are Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Irnis Azura Zakarya (Project Leader, Deputy Dean of Research and Postgraduate), Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Siti Khadijah Zaaba (Director of COSCEM) and Dr. Tengku Nuraiti Tengku Izhar.

The main objective of the collaboration is to develop a research laboratory that benefits both parties, namely E-Idaman staff and UniMAP researchers in conducting research related to solid waste in particular. As a result of this close cooperation, E-Idaman is pleased to place the Anaerobic Digestion Machine (AD50) produced in mid-2019 to process food waste with a capacity of 50kg per day and produce 5m3 of biogas for cooking purposes and bio-compost can be used as steel for surrounding plants.

The placement of the AD50 machine is intended for research to produce a suitable inoculant in addition to for bio-compost improvement. In short, the cooperation between the two parties will not only strengthen the university's relationship with the industrial companies but also the number of research papers on agriculture will also increase.
